Since the introduction of double-entry bookkeeping in 13th century Florence, it has become an essential tool to maintain books and records to monitor the financial performance of the business. Additional obligations such as VAT returns make this task more onerous so we encourage you to let us take care of the reporting so that you can focus on the business.

  • We recommend Xero as a bookkeeping solution as it is user-friendly with a powerful back-end and many integrations but also work with other software providers including QuickBooks and FreeAgent.

  • We connect all bank accounts and set-up a dedicated email address for all invoices to be issued to

  • We reconcile all bank transactions to income and expenses, making adjustments for agent vs principle treatment etc.

  • We upload invoices and receipts to the record so these are available for management tracking purposes

  • We liaise with the client for any missing invoices to ensure that VAT can be recovered on all eligible expenditure

  • We can prepare management accounts on regular basis to allow you to make strategic business decisions

  • We prepare VAT returns for approval and will submit to HMRC before advising of the payment required (or repayment due)
